Posted: January 2022
The Opportunity in Outline:
We have a unique opportunity to join our small, dynamic, rural based Land and Planning Consultancy Business with a large and growing portfolio of land and property-owning clients and development sites at the heart of the CamMKOx, as a pivotal part of our growing team.
We can offer you exceptional opportunities with a portfolio of projects and remuneration to reflect your role in bringing them to fruition. You will quickly become part of the growth strategy of the business, working on a mix of short-term Planning Consultancy Projects as well as Strategic Land Development Sites. With a high degree of autonomy but support from a small, professional team, you will have the freedom to grow your own practice within the business and the potential to become an equity partner.
Introducing The Company
The business was founded in 2001, by entrepreneurial qualified chartered surveyor, Sam Franklin, who has grown up in the rural community in the Northern Home Counties. In addition to a portfolio of land and property-owning clients with whom we have ongoing relationships, the business has a growing range of strategic development sites and track record of success in bringing sites forward.
Based in a barn conversion in a rural location, between Milton Keynes and Cambridge, the office is accessible from both the A1 and M1. There is flexibility for this role in a mix of both office and home based working.
"I joined Landscope as a temp in 2015 – I didn’t even want a permanent job, but I’m still here 6 years later! Here’s why:
I really enjoy working in a small, but professional, family business and feel valued and appreciated – which goes both ways. Landscope not only allow me to use my existing skills to the full, but also help me develop new ones.
There is a real sense of teamwork, but also a good deal of autonomy and my ‘can-do’ attitude is vital. Working for a small business is hard work and challenging at times, but it’s very rewarding helping our varied and interesting clients to fulfil their planning aspirations.
Since I joined we have moved office and expanded our team (including Myrtle and Tiggy – our office dogs) and I’m looking forward to the next phase of development by recruiting a planner."
